Water Ballet Show Information for Audience Members

We are so excited to see you at an upcoming performance of Fluid Movement's brand new water ballet, “Splash Games: A Water Ballet of Imaginary Sports!” Please review this information carefully to maximize your enjoyment of our show.

CHECK-IN AND COMFORT:

When planning your arrival time, please remember that parking and seating are both available on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis unless you have reserved or priority seating. For attendees with mobility concerns, please see Accessibility, below.

Check in for the show will begin 45 minutes before showtime, and the doors will open 30 minutes before showtime.

Please be prepared to tell our FM Box Office Volunteers the name your tickets were purchased under. If you purchased a sponsorship level ticket, please let us know they you are a sponsor, so we can give you all our thanks and your perks!

Seating consists of folding chairs and bleacher seats. Accessible seating is further described below.

The show takes place outdoors, in direct sunlight, and is subject to weather conditions. Please dress to be comfortable! Umbrellas and parasols may NOT be used during the performance as they block the view of your neighbors.

We are eco-friendly! We encourage you to bring your water bottle and some sunblock. Alcohol and glass containers are NOT permitted around the pool. Additionally, coolers and food are NOT permitted on the pool deck.

PARKING:

Street parking is available throughout the neighborhoods surrounding the park. PLEASE OBSERVE ALL POSTED PARKING REGULATIONS. Public parking is monitored and enforced by the City of Baltimore.

ACCESSIBILITY:

Fluid Movement is committed to creating performances accessible to everyone!

For Attendees with Mobility Concerns:

  • Street Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Attendees with mobility concerns may be dropped off in front of the pool house entrance.

    • RIVERSIDE: The access road entrance is on the corner of East Randall Street and Covington Street. This does require a little bit of a curb
jump, but unfortunately, this is the only access point to the pool house large enough for a car. A map of this route will be emailed to you approximately 24 hours prior to the show.

    • CLIFTON: The access road is located directly off Sinclair Lane and goes directly to the pool house. A map of this route will be emailed to you approximately 24 hours prior to the show.

  • Each performance will have a number of dedicated accessible aisle seats. Once on site, please speak with a FM Box Office Volunteer to request an accessible seat or early seating. Advance requests may also be sent to boxoffice@fluidmovement.org

For Attendees Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing:

  • An electronic copy of the script can be emailed to your mobile device, and a QR code in the program leading to the script will also be provided.

For Attendees with Sensory Sensitivity:

  • All shows take place outdoors and subject to weather conditions.

  • All shows feature amplified sound (music and voice).

  • Folding chairs and bleachers offer compact seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Attendees may exit and reenter during the show as needed by showing their check-in sticker or stamp to the FM Box Office Volunteer at the gate.

RAIN POLICY:

When the weather is inclement, the first concern of Fluid Movement and Baltimore City Aquatics is that our performers and audience members are safe. In the case of lightning, thunder, and/or rain, pool managers and our producers will work together to decide whether a performance needs to be delayed or canceled. Because summer storms are unpredictable, often this decision will be made immediately before the start of the show.

Rain alone will usually NOT stop a show, but nearby lightning, thunder, or high winds might. If it's raining, bring a jacket because umbrellas can't be used during a performance.

If a show must be completely canceled, we will make every effort to honor your tickets at another performance with available seats. We will announce at that show (and later on Facebook and via email) what your options are. Tickets are not refundable, so we will do our best to let you honor them at a future show. If you can’t, we hope you can recruit a friend or family member who can use your tickets to enjoy our performances.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email boxoffice@fluidmovement.org. We appreciate your patience with our response time, especially in the hours before showtime.

SEE YOU AT THE SHOW!
