FM Academy: Sewing Stretch Fabric with Val

April 11th, 6-9 PM

Fluid Movement HQ (303 W Monument Street)

Sewing stretch fabric can be challenging to experienced and novice sewers alike, and Fluid Movement costuming is chock-full of stretch fabric! So if you ever wanted to learn or brush up on your ability to wrangle 4-way stretch, then this FM Academy is for you!

Valarie Perez-Schere will be leading us in a two part sewing course in-person at Fluid Movement HQ. The first part will involve an overview on how to make a classic Fluid Movement arm gauntlet with tips and tricks on managing this slippery fabric. Then the second part will involve an opportunity to work on your machine with Val and make your very own pair of gauntlets to take home, so bring your own machine if you would like to participate in the second part of this session! We will provide the fabric, elastic, and cutters!

This class is FREE, and all are welcome to attend, but so we can keep an eye on numbers and make sure we have enough supplies, let us know if you’re wanting to attend by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/jFY7iMEqmzE8Ty2ZA
