Oversees the entire production. Business manager of production meaning they are in charge of the following:
The overall show budget
Fundraising
Setting venue locations, dates, and times (with board representative(s) as support)
Setting rehearsal locations, dates, and times (with board representative(s) as support)
Ticket prices
Marketing of show
Hiring and overseeing Stage Manager, Production Manager, and House Manager (unless House Manager is board-appointed)
End of show evaluation of Stage Manager, Production Manager, Marketing Director, and Water Ballet Director
Ultimately, the producer is a manager who ensures the production runs efficiently, stays within financial parameters, and meets its deadlines.
The expected timeline for this role runs from January to August, with an estimated commitment of 20-40 hours per month. Hours will be lighter from January to April, increasing in the May to August period.
